SEOMURAI Documentation

Put AI to work in your daily SEO routine.

A free check of whether your site provides an llms.txt, plus four PRO modules: a chatbot with a prompt library, AI assistants, webhook workflows and provider presets. Go to the documentation overview.

LLMS.TXT Info is free, four modules are part of the PRO plan.

What the AI tab in SEOMURAI does

SEO work is full of recurring micro-tasks: writing a meta description, weighing three title variants, deriving an FAQ from existing copy, putting together a content briefing. AI models can speed these micro-tasks up considerably, provided you hand them a good prompt and the right page data. That is exactly what the AI tab is for.

The free plan includes LLMS.TXT Info. The Prompt Library with 41 prompts belongs to the SEOMURAI Chatbot and is therefore part of the PRO plan. The PRO plan adds four modules: SEOMURAI Chatbot, LLM SEO Team, Webhook Workflows and AI Presets. Each of these is described in detail on its own page.

When this menu is especially useful

  • Whenever you want to automate or speed up recurring SEO writing tasks.
  • When you want to draw on a collection of ready-made prompts in the SEOMURAI Chatbot and you are on the PRO plan.
  • When you want to check whether your own site provides an llms.txt.
  • When you want to feed page data into an external workflow (n8n, Zapier, Make) and you are on the PRO plan.
  • When you want to switch flexibly between several AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, OpenRouter, or local and on-device models such as Ollama, LM Studio and Chrome AI) and you are on the PRO plan.

Step by step

1. Open the Prompt Library in the Chatbot (PRO)

The Prompt Library belongs to the SEOMURAI Chatbot under KI and is therefore part of the PRO plan. It holds 41 ready-made prompts in six categories: keyword research, backlink analysis, technical SEO audits, SERP analytics and visibility, domain and technology analysis, and local businesses. The prompts are written in English and contain placeholders in square brackets, such as [domain.com], which you replace with your own details before sending. A search field and favorites help you find prompts again.

2. Insert a prompt or send it right away

Use “Insert” to place the prompt in the chatbot input, replace the placeholders and send it. “Insert & Send” sends the prompt in one step. The chatbot passes your message to the webhook endpoint you stored in its settings, for example an n8n workflow running the AI model of your choice.

3. Add and share your own prompts

Under “My Prompts” you create your own prompts with a title and a category. Export and import in the library let you pass your prompts on as a JSON file. The settings backup under Settings → Backup & Restore does not include the prompts of the library; the JSON export is the way to move them. Everything is stored in the synchronized storage of Chrome. Nothing is transmitted to minoka or to SEOMURAI; when Chrome synchronization is active, the prompts are available on your other signed-in devices as well.

4. Check the llms.txt

The LLMS.TXT Info subtab under KI shows whether the domain provides a file at /llms.txt and, if so, links to it. For a detailed check, a link leads to the LLMS.TXT Tester & Validator on minoka.de, which takes the open address along. According to the proposal on llmstxt.org, an llms.txt is a Markdown file that gives language models a short introduction to the website and links to its most important content.

5. Advanced modules on the PRO plan

If you want to integrate AI workflows more tightly into your daily SEO work, four PRO modules unlock additional capabilities:

  • SEOMURAI Chatbot: a webhook-based chat interface with page context that you can connect to any provider.
  • LLM SEO Team: specialized AI assistants for recurring tasks, including meta tags, summaries, FAQs, keywords and search intent. Since version 1.7.0, OpenRouter queries report their cost in the result and in the AI history; OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini do not return monetary costs via their APIs, so no cost is shown for them.
  • Webhook Workflows: direct integration with n8n, Zapier or Make, with three ready-made n8n templates: a connection test, an SEO audit into a Google Sheet and a DataForSEO SERP result into a Notion database. Version 1.7.0 adds 14 new webhook sources from the new DataForSEO tabs (AI Visibility, Ask the LLMs, Google Trends).
  • AI Presets: pre-configured setups for OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini and OpenRouter that you can switch at any time.

The modules follow the BYOK principle: you store your own API keys under Settings → Credentials and are billed directly by the respective provider, with no markup from us. Since version 1.7.0 the Credentials tab shows the real logo of each AI provider and offers a test button per provider that sends a tiny live request to a cheap model to verify the stored key.

Frequently asked questions

Tips and frequently asked questions

Do I need an API key to use the Prompt Library?

No. The Prompt Library is a collection of text with placeholders inside the SEOMURAI Chatbot (PRO). The chatbot sends your message to your own webhook endpoint, so it does not need an API key in SEOMURAI. API keys are only required for the PRO modules that call an AI provider directly, such as the LLM SEO Team.

Is my page data sent to an AI provider?

Not on the free plan: LLMS.TXT Info only checks whether the open domain provides an llms.txt. On the PRO plan, data is only sent to a provider when you actively trigger it, for example by sending a prompt to your configured OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or OpenRouter key.

Can I transfer my own prompts to other devices?

Yes. Export the library through Export as JSON and import the file on the other device. The settings backup under Settings → Backup & Restore keeps the rest of your configuration, but not the prompts of the library.

What is llms.txt and should I provide one?

llms.txt is a proposal (llmstxt.org) for a Markdown file at /llms.txt that gives language models a short introduction to the website and links to its most important content. It does not control access; that remains the job of the robots.txt. There is no obligation; it makes sense when you want AI tools to place your content more easily.

Which AI provider is suited to which task?

As a rule of thumb: for editorial writing tasks (meta description, FAQ, briefing), current models from all major providers deliver very usable results. For highly structured tasks (such as JSON-LD generation), models with strong code understanding (Claude, GPT reasoning models) are often more precise. OpenRouter lets you switch between providers without maintaining multiple separate accounts, which saves administrative effort.

How can I check whether a stored API key actually works?

Open Settings → Credentials. Since version 1.7.0 every AI provider entry shows its real logo and a test button. The test sends a tiny live request to a cheap model of that provider and reports directly whether the stored key is valid, so you do not have to wait for the first prompt to fail before noticing a problem.

Want to try this feature directly in your browser?

Install SEOMURAI and try the first three prompts from the library on one of your own pages.
