What AI Presets does in SEOMURAI

If you work with AI models regularly, you rarely rely on a single setup in practice. A model with a higher temperature suits a creative title variation, while strict JSON-LD generation calls for a deterministic one. For German-language copy you might choose model A, for English copy model B. AI Presets bundles such configurations as named presets, so you can switch with one click.

A preset contains: provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or OpenRouter), model (for example GPT-5, Claude 4.7, Gemini 3.0), temperature (creativity control), an optional system prompt (persona or framing instruction) and the token budget. Every preset can be selected in the Prompt Library, in the LLM SEO Team and in the Chatbot.

When AI Presets pays off the most

  • When you regularly switch between linguistically creative and strictly structured tasks.
  • When you test several AI providers in parallel to compare costs and output quality.
  • When different languages favor different models.
  • When you want to keep a dedicated setup with a detailed system prompt ready for sensitive tasks (brand voice, legal copy).
  • When you want to pass your proven configuration on to a colleague without lengthy explanations.

Step by step

1. Store your API keys

Go to Settings → Credentials and enter your keys for the providers you want to work with. At least one is required, and several are allowed. SEOMURAI queries the available models of each provider dynamically through its API, so you always see the current model list.

2. Open the AI Presets area

Go to AI & Automation → LLM SEO Team and open the AI Presets area there. You will see all previously saved presets as cards with the key facts (provider, model, temperature).

3. Create a new preset

Click “New Preset” and fill in the form:

  • Name: a descriptive label, for example “DE meta descriptions, precise” or “EN creative briefing”.
  • Provider: OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini or OpenRouter.
  • Model: selected automatically from the provider’s available models.
  • Temperature: a low value (for example 0.2) for deterministic results, a higher value (for example 0.8) for creative variation.
  • System prompt: optional, for example “You write SEO-optimized German copy using the formal Sie form.”
  • Token budget: maximum response length, protects you against unintentionally expensive requests.

4. Use the preset in practice

In the Prompt Library, in the LLM SEO Team and in the Chatbot you will see a preset selector. Use the dropdown to switch between your saved setups per request, without having to open the settings. If you frequently switch between two or three setups, this is the central efficiency gain of this module.

5. Back up and share presets

Via Settings → Backup & Restore you back up your complete configuration, including all presets, as a file. This is how you transfer your proven setups to other devices or pass them on to colleagues. You can choose to include your API keys in the export or exclude them from the backup.

Frequently asked questions

Tips and frequently asked questions

Are the available models updated automatically?

Yes. SEOMURAI queries the model list per provider dynamically through its API, so new models become selectable without an extension update. When a provider releases a new model, it appears in the selection list as soon as you open the dropdown.

What is the difference between a preset and an assistant?

A preset defines how the request is executed (provider, model, temperature, system prompt). An assistant defines what is asked (a concrete task, for example “Write a meta description”). An assistant runs with a selected preset, and the two can be combined independently.

Which temperature makes sense for SEO tasks?

Rule of thumb: for structural tasks (schema generation, title length checks, deriving FAQs from fixed content), use a low temperature (0.1 to 0.3). For creative tasks (variations, slogan suggestions, content briefings), use a medium to higher temperature (0.5 to 0.8). Experienced users often maintain three presets: precise, balanced, creative.

What is the advantage of OpenRouter over direct provider accounts?

OpenRouter aggregates many models under one unified API with a single billing relationship. You can switch between GPT, Claude, Gemini, Llama-based models and many more without maintaining separate accounts. The downside: a small surcharge per request and no provider-specific beta features. For typical SEO usage, the convenience outweighs this.

Can I see which preset belongs to which response?

Yes. The AI history stores for each response which preset (and therefore which provider, which model and which temperature) was active. This lets you evaluate afterwards which configuration delivered the best results for which task, and improve your preset collection iteratively.
