Scope
What does custom tooling cover?
We build small, focused tools that make one concrete process in your company faster, more reliable, or possible at all:
- Browser extensions. Chrome and Firefox extensions (Manifest V3), from the idea through the store listing to the update process. The same way we build our own extensions SEOMURAI, bulkU, and Deftery.
- AI automation. Recurring processes with language-model support: classifying content, extracting data, pre-structuring text, preparing reports. With a clear view of data protection and the EU AI Act. Where the AI itself is the subject rather than the tool, the AI implementation is the closer fit.
- WordPress tooling. Custom plugins, REST integrations, and content pipelines that let you maintain content automatically instead of clicking. minoka.de itself runs on exactly such pipelines.
- SEO data tooling. Log parsers, crawler checks, schema generators, and monitoring helpers, cut to your question rather than to the lowest common denominator.
- Small web tools. Calculators, converters, and checking tools that run in the browser without a sign-up. A selection from our workshop is available under Tools, all of them free.
Fit
When does custom tooling fit?
A custom tool fits when:
- A recurring manual step costs your team real time every week, and no standard product covers it properly.
- You already pay for a tool whose one relevant function you use, and the rest is overhead.
- Your process depends on data from several sources that nobody currently brings together.
- You want to keep the result: the source code is handed over, and you are not tied to us to keep it running.

Written documentation plus a walkthrough for the people who work with it. The source code is handed over with it.
30 days of corrections
Anything that does not behave as agreed gets corrected within 30 days of handover, at no extra cost.
Scope
What determines the scope.
The shape follows your starting position, not a choice of sizes. Four questions determine the effort. Tell us where you stand and you receive an offer with a fixed scope and clear terms.
How many steps the tool covers
A single action or a chain across several steps. A tool with a clear edge is built faster and goes into service faster.
Where it runs
A browser extension, a WordPress tool, or a service working in the background. The environment determines both the effort and the later maintenance; an extension published in the store also brings review and policy upkeep with it.
Which systems it connects to
Your own site alone, or external interfaces with credentials, rate limits, and outages of their own. Every connection is a line item in itself.
Who operates it afterwards
Handover to your team, or maintenance and further development with us. Either is fine; it only makes a difference to the scope.

One session in which we walk through the use case, your data situation, and the constraints. Free of charge and without obligation.
Offer with a fixed scope
You receive in writing what gets built, what it costs, and what acceptance depends on. Priced per project or by effort, depending on how clearly the scope can be defined at that point.
Delivery in bounded steps
We start with one use case and put it into operation before the second begins. That keeps the effort manageable and shows early whether the direction is right.
Handover
Documentation, walkthrough, and 30 days of follow-up questions. After that you decide whether you continue alone or we stay within reach.

What does a custom tool cost?
That depends on the scope, which is why no figure appears here. We clarify what the tool has to do in a requirements conversation and then present an offer with a fixed scope and clear terms, priced per project or by effort depending on how clearly the scope can be defined.
Do we receive the source code?
Yes. The source code is handed over with the tool, and you are free to develop it further yourself or have someone else do it. A tool that only its builder can maintain is a dependency, not an asset.
Do you also maintain the tool afterwards?
If you want us to. Corrections within the first 30 days are included. Beyond that, maintenance can be arranged separately, but it is not a condition: the handover is built so that your own team or another provider can take it on.
Is custom tooling the same as AI implementation?
No. With custom tooling, the tool we build for you is the subject. With AI implementation, the subject is introducing AI into an existing process, often with standard building blocks and without anything bespoke being programmed. The two meet when no suitable tool exists for the use case.
